The ceramic blade is sharpened by grinding the edges with a diamond-dust-coated grinding wheel. Ceramic knives requires a special sharpener designed just for ceramic blades. The good news is that Ceramic blades warrant much less sharpening in comparison to steel blades. VegItPro can recommend an expert service outlet in the USA upon request.

A simple swipe of a damp cloth will do the job. Although all VegItPro ceramic knives are dishwasher tested and approved we don’t recommend it as the shifting around and hitting other utensils or objects can cause chips or breaks.

Ceramic blades are non porous in comparison to steel blades and therefore there is absolutely no transfer or accumulation of bacteria, germs, or dirt from the blade to food. There is also no metallic taste that sometimes transfer to food when using steel blades. 

Our OA handles are designed with human engineering following modern stylish design philosophy , with anti-slip granules, which make for a better grip and feeling. Our handles are also more safe than without granulate. It is our own self design and private mold that makes our handle design so unique. 

A key feature of ceramic knives are their weight. Ceramic kitchen knives are far lighter and when chopping large quantities of food, it is a lot less fatigue to the hands and arms.

 

Ceramic versus stainless steel knives never bruise or cause discoloration to fruit, vegetables, or lettuce due to their resistance to strong acid and caustic substances.

  1. Our raw material of Zirconia powder is the best and uses the Highest purity of Zirconium.
  2. Besides Dry Pressing, we do isostatic cool pressing, the stress is by liquid to blade, which makes the blade much tighter and a  stronger structure. That’s why so many cheap ceramic knives are easily broken! Our knives have passed the one meter height drop test. See above video at the end instead of below.
  3. Most low price ceramic knife handles are connected by glue and are not safe and easily break apart. Our knife handles are connected by injection. Injection mold handles are safer, more secure, and will almost never break apart.
  4. Every piece of our knives have been inspected and tested individually for sharpness and durability.
  5. We recommend your storing your knife in a safe place and using our included blade cover when your VegItPro knife is not in use as  an extra precaution to prevent unwarranted breaks and chips.
  6. Remember: “If they sell them cheap, they must be cheap!” Our emphasis on natural materials and avoiding plastic make for extra labor and material costs that VegItPro incurs on herself. In return, our customers enjoy quality ceramic knives making them an excellent choice!
